Who am I?
I’m a Celtic witch on a journey of self-discovery, returning home to my true, authentic self and all of the magick this entails. I’m an artist with a love for the written word and all things fantasy, pagan and mysterious. I connect to Mother Earth through making art, writing words, and carrying out rituals amidst the mundane elements of life.
Why ‘The Ancient Magpie’?
The word ‘ancient’ speaks to my love of the old ways and ‘magpie’ is an embodiment of my tendency to collect things. I have always loved oddities, bones, hag stones, antiques and other findings, whether sourced from nature itself or humankind’s mastery. The Ancient Magpie was birthed from this desire to accumulate and create mysterious bits and pieces, as I myself am a bit of a magpie in that sense.
What next?
Alongside sharing poetry and prose here, I’ve just birthed an Etsy shop to host my artwork and jewellery. I want to create beautiful things for fellow collectors and lovers of mysterious items, so a digital shop felt like the perfect embellishment to The Ancient Magpie story.
